Christmas Card Class - Samples

I posted earlier about the Quick Accents Christmas Card Class that I hosted this past Friday night.
I wanted to take some time to post my samples from the card class.
15 of these I did prior to the actual class and the other 5 I did that night with the ladies that attended.

These are my samples but as I mentioned in the earlier post the ladies all had different inspiration and came up with a variety of cards!  I was blown away!!

Enjoy!  Don't forget to order YOUR package of Quick Accents today and get started on your batch of homemade holiday cards for this season.

A group shot.

...and for some reason blogger is uploading my horizontal photos the wrong way!  lol  Oh well!  I will keep them here anyway and hope I can find a way to fix it.  Any suggestions, let me know.  :-)

ooohhhh, even got some upside down action going on!  lol

Christmas Card Class

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Yay!

First Christmas card class of the season. I received a wonderful idea from my up line Tina about doing a card class using the Quick Accents packs from Stampin' Up!
LOVE IT!
Quick, easy, and you end up with 20, yes I said TWENTY, holiday cards ready to go. What can be better than that? Well, maybe having some cookies made with the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps...and we had those too!!! (see previous post)

So here we go!

This is the Letters to Santa Quick Accents Pack (one sheet of borders and one sheet of images)

These are the Note Cards. 20 in a pack with matching envelopes

And.....they're off!!!!!
I showed them their materials, gave them some information, put my samples up for diplay and they unleashed their creativity! It was awesome!

Some of the cards that Julia designed...

Beth's Christmas creativity....
Janice's batch of holiday aweseomness...
Heather deciding on what to use....some of her samples are in front of her.
Kelly's rockin' it out!! This is only her second stamp class. You should have seen her wonderful creations!!!

One of the cards that I was able to get a good close up of. These ladies got their stamp on that night!!
I had all my holiday stamps out to use. I also provided them with coordinating inks, sponges, markers, spritzer, shimmer mist, 2 way glue and dazzling diamonds. A few needed that extra sparkle so I threw in some rhinestones and pearls here and there.

I am always blown away with the fact that you can give a group of people the exact same materials to work with and they will all come up with such different ways to use them! I love creativity at work!

This class was great for beginner stampers and satisfied the creative thirst of my veteran stampers as well. Great class, great laughs, gorgeous holiday cards!

If you are interested in a stamping class I am having a BIRTHDAY STAMP CLASS like this Christmas one.
RSVP by FRIDAY so I can have all of our supplies on hand.
Payment reserves your spot.

You can check out the class on my Facebook page here:

If you would like to order your own Quick Accents pack along with cards, envelopes and any other supplies you may need contact me today (stampingflutterbys@gmail.com) or you can head on over to my Stampin' UP! page and your order will be sent straight to your door!!

Sweet Treats!

Yahoo!! So happy to get my last Stampin' Up! order in the mail.
Finally have my hands on the SWEET PRESSED COOKIE STAMPS!

So happy to try them out.
They come in a white box. One wooden handle and three, count 'em THREE stamps for the fall/winter occasions.

This is the item...

#125152 Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp $20.95

The kit even comes with TWO recipes! One for sugared shortbread and one for sugar cookies.
I tried out the sugared shortbread for my Christmas Card Class that I had on Friday night.

All set and ready to PRESS!!

Using my new stoneware that I (I mean WE) got as a wedding pressie!
I decided to use all the images and not just the Christmas ones for my themed class. I wanted the ladies to see how each of them turned out. :-) Besides my house is decorated for Halloween right now so I guess it fit!! lol

AND here is the final product!!! YUMO! (if I do say so myself!)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the crisp images of the stamps. They all turned out very well!! I used the sugared shortbread recipe right from Stampin' Up!. I could have made the cookie balls a bit bigger, some of my images ran over the edges of the cookies. I also needed to adjust the baking time. However, that can be standard with any recipe.

Love the stamps and recommend grabbing a set! Great to have on hand for all the holiday baking that is coming up.
While you are at it, add a few other Stampin' Up! Items to your order and VOILA! You have gifts ready to go....all you need to do is a bit of baking.

Stamp Club

Stamp Club #1 was this past Friday night.

Even though it is only October we are right in the thick of Christmas card making season!!
Love it!
I wanted to use only Holiday Mini items for my projects and I had some suggestions for techniques and card styles from the ladies.

Here is what we were working on this past weekend...

This card is done on a Pear Pizzazz base, using the Spice cake DSP for a background layer. I taught the faux linen technique and the ladies loved it!! :-) We embossed the tree in gold and stamped the lodge in Early Espresso. Our greeting is stamped in More Mustard and we finished it off with some of the sumptuous very vanilla velvet ribbon and the Dazzling Details on the lodge. Yay! The stamp set used is Christmas Lodge....LOVE THAT set.
Here is the one that I made along with them that night. Ribbon across the bottom on this one.

Our second project was a card style. The Spring Card. You can find the link here...

I used the Frostwood Lodge DSP for the base. Easy peasy instructions on line, thanks SCS!!
I just HAD to use the new Glimmer Paper as a background. We stamped using the Snow Much Fun stamp set and coordinating ink colours from the DSP. Little bit of Garden Green card stock to add a bit of pizzazz across the bottom and allow us to stamp a greeting. Add a little jingle bell to the card (new in the MINI!!!!) and voila! Christmas magic!

Here is the one that I made along with them at club. Who says your image always has to fit the paper! Love this tall snowman! psss...he looks great on coasters too!!!

Stamp Club meets once a month.
At least 6 people to make up a club but can be many more!
Each person commits to one year (12 sessions) and a $36 dollar order each month.
Everyone takes turns hosting us all for club AND getting FREE PRODUCT!!!!

A great way to build your Stampin' Up! collection of goodies!

Interested? Contact me today to come and try ONE club session for FREE!

Hershey Nugget Boxes

Once I received my Holiday Mini pre-order I was itchin' to get into that box and play with the new SU goodies.
I was searching for a quick and easy project that I could use for all three holiday DSP's I ordered.

I was on Split Coast Stampers and found this...

Which I turned into this...

Here they are all closed up....
I fell in love with this stamp set (and the one in the IB&C when I attended Convention this past summer) I always give a little gifty to each person attending my classes. I like to set them out on the grid paper with their supplies. So I am ALWAYS looking for new ways to gift a little something. ...and who doesn't like CHOCOLATE????
These stamps that fit perfectly around the Hershey Nuggets are AWESOME!!! The stamp set is It's A Wrap Holidays. ( I have mine in clear....easier to see the smaller pieces of paper cut to fit the nuggets.)
Can't wait to get my hands on the set from the catty too!!! *giggle*

Go make some today!
If you need to order the set and any supplies you may need, visit my Su site. You can place an order there and it will be shipped right to your door! Schweet!

Happy Stamping!

Pals Paper arts

Holy Moly!!
A wonderful, fellow stamping addict, passed on this link to me when I was admiring a card she had recently posted.

I SO wish I had known about this before!

I saw the colours posted for the colour challenge and knew I had to get in on it.
I love this colour combo!!!! LOVE, I say!

Here is the challenge...

And here is what I came up with...

I am so glad that this stamp set was carried over for this years Idea Book and Catalogue. I loved it when it premiered last year and I still love it today.

Can't wait for the next challenge!!
